Special Coatings
Aqueous. Applied cost effectively during the printing process, Aqueous coatings dry instantly for even greater speed in print turn around times, producing an improved finish with added durability and a real feel of quality. Aqueous coatings are also water based, effectively promoting a cleaner environment as well as providing a “whiter or cleaner” finish. Aqueous coatings are also pharmaceutical grade and are perfect for use on all food and pharmaceutical packaging.
Drip-off. This new technology produces creative special effects by using a spot varnish in combination with the application of a gloss dispersion coating over the whole sheet. Saphira Drip-Off is ideal for magazines, catalogues and packaging - indeed, for all quality publications that place high demands on register accuracy and deliver matt/ gloss effects that remain true to detail (fine text, lines and screened motifs). The effects achieved are attractive and sophisticated and are somewhat more subtle than pure UV or hybrid applications. |
